Where Faith and Academics Meet

Providing a nurturing K-8 Christian education

At El Sobrante Christian School, we believe every child was created with purpose and every child deserves the opportunity to let their light shine. Our accredited private Christian school provides a nurturing environment where students are encouraged to grow academically, spiritually, emotionally, and socially while building a strong foundation of faith and character.

Why Choose  ESCS?

More than just a school, we are a Christ-centered community committed to helping students thrive. Our dedicated teachers serve not only as educators but also as mentors and positive role models, inspiring students to reach their full potential both in and out of the classroom.

Families choose El Sobrante Christian School because we combine academic excellence with affordability. As one of the most affordable private school options in the area, we provide a high-quality education with competitive test scores that stand alongside and exceed those of local public schools. Students benefit from smaller class sizes, individualized attention, and a safe, supportive environment where they are known, valued, and encouraged to succeed.

When you choose El Sobrante Christian School, you are investing in more than academics. You are giving your child the opportunity to grow in confidence, faith, leadership, and purpose while empowering them to shine brightly in the classroom, in their community, and throughout their future.

By Your Testimony

We came to ESCS this year from a local public school, and we truly could not be happier with our experience. Our child has thrived in the nurturing and safe environment that ESCS provides. We are incredibly grateful for the warm, supportive, and academically focused community we have found here. A heartfelt thank you to all of the teachers and staff for the care, dedication, and hard work you show every day!

When we first moved to the area, we found the local schools lacking in academic rigor and in the expectations they had for their students. We knew our son needed to be academically challenged, and we also wanted him to receive a Christian education grounded in faith and strong values. When we found ESCS, we knew it was an investment in our son’s future. We often tell him that we expect a return on that investment — and time and time again, he delivers. Whether through his strong academic performance, his dedication to activities like the spelling bee, the Spring and Christmas musicals, or simply in the way he carries himself overall, he continually makes us proud. Most importantly, although our son already had a strong faith foundation, being at ESCS has only strengthened his relationship with God and deepened his knowledge of the Bible. Pastor Russ even jokes that Mateo knows more Scripture than he does! Our son truly loves his school, his teachers, and his friends, and he looks forward to going to school every single day. We are incredibly grateful to be part of the ESCS family

We originally came to ESCS during COVID since private schools opened back before public, but since then, we couldn't imagine having our children anywhere else. Our daughter has absolutely thrived, becoming a strong leader and maintaining excellent grades. I've seen my daughter go from uncertain to a confident supporter of friends and classmates. My son has been at ESCS since kindergarten. His teachers have worked with him as an individual, not just another student, and they have helped shape him nto a fun-loving, responsible child who is very welcoming of others. At ESCS, it's more than just a school. My kids love seeing their teachers, engaging with them beyond just the classroom. Whether it's throwing the football around with a teacher, asking the principal for help resolving a peer-to-peer conflict, or getting a bandaid from the front office, they know that the adults here genuinely care about them. We see other students and families at church, at community sports events, and gospel outreach events, and more. We genuinely feel like we have family here.
